A report by the European Environment Agency (EEA) about an alleged reduction in emissions from car traffic as a result of new e-car registrations has turned out to be a service ordered by the financial backers. It has nothing to do with reality.
In order to be able to report politically desirable results, the EEA
- set the emissions of e-mobility at zero
- incorrectly assumed a very high proportion of purely electric PHEV driving
- applied outdated, unrealistic rules for determining emissions that favour PHEVs, contrary to better knowledge
The EEA thus proves to be an agitprop agency of the European Commission.
